Names!
Thursday, October 1, 2009, 12:29 AM
Hey all, the king of crap is back! Don't you feel honoured?! SAYSAYSAY. Today's topic is..........The importance of having an ang moh name! I just realised all of you don't have ang moh names, sooooo, I'm gonna tell you the importance of having one, and also how to properly choose a nice name! xDDD Inspired by this particular incident(though quite some time ago): Friend: Hi, my name is Kai Hong. (hopes he doesn't come across my crap blog *praypray*) Person A: Ohh, hi Cai Hong! My name is ____! (rofl I forgot her name) And so, my friend joked that he should have an english name so that it's easier to remember. Don't you find that people forget your chinese names easily? TOO EASILY? AHHHH I'M SAD! T_T Okay back to the story. He decided that 'Rainbow' is a good name for him! Inspired by cai hong, omg how creative sia. Nobody will have the same name and he thinks he'll be able to stand out. Here comes the tough question: how to pick a good name? Good names like 'Rainbow' are hard to come by and it's already taken! Welllll, so we'll have to pick a new name, right? To pick a good and unique NEW name, we must first analyse what's so good about a good name like 'Rainbow'. It's pretty! It's nature! YESSS so names pertaining to nature are GOOD! Nononono it's not as easy as you think - because many 'nature' names are already taken up. And what we want is a NEW name. What, don't believe? We have Rain. ![]() We have Cloud. ![]() And we have Storm. ![]() That's already many names taken up. sob. BUT that means more names for us to analyse! Conclusion: good names are those that not only relate to nature but also relate to emo-ness. (to a certain degree lah) So calling yourself 'Sunny' is a no-no. After all my name research, I've come up with perfect names for you guys! Nini can be called Windy, Huan can be called Snow and Leng can be called Gownie. Perfect! Don't you think so too? :D |
